More Homework

Anyway, I haven't been watching TV, possibly because I don't actually have a TV, so I'm just going to talk about public commercials.

I was quite interested in this Mcdonalds advertisement on a bus which had a picture of a strawberry smoothie and two words in bold. STRAW. BERRY.
I just found that funny and create, since the drink literally is a straw, and a berry. I think this ad was designed for people who are bored, standing on the sidewalk, or stopping white driving a car. Because the ad is always attached to the bus and moving, usually it's only when the bus stops when people can clearly see the advertisement. This ad is specifically designed for summer, since people want to just freshen up and drink something cold. And also, it maybe more appealing to younger people, because of their nature of drinking cold, sweet things.

Personal Branding Statement -- Mass Comm Homework

Haven't written on this blog in ages... which was since I was out of the firewall zone in China.
Sooo, heres my homework :D

My personality is quite laid back, I like taking things slowly and I am basically never rushed to do something. I'm always a calm person who doesn't get angry at people and rarely criticises people in person. I prefer working by myself, because that way I know exactly what my progress is, rather than having other classmates controlling what I work. I'm okay with multitasking or single-tasking, depending on what it really is. I could do my homework multitasking, but I guess I don't work quite as quickly and effectively. I have bad memory with names, and many other things. Probably by the time I remember my classmates in Summer Challenge, the two weeks will be over. I'm a fan of schedules because I think things just work out better when I plan it, usually. I however, do not make contingency plans, because I think that's just too time consuming, and I'd rather do something creative to get myself back on plan I guess. I use a lot of expression when I talk. I don't know if it's an Australian thing, but I talk loudly too, and I like doing formal debates.

Composed - I'm late for a doctor's appointment, and I'm pretty screwed. I just keep going forward, waste no time, and be calm.

Simple - After I arrive home by bus, it is already 6pm. I always get home, and get my homework started right after I get a quick snack. That's how it works for my school week.

Lively - Theres something really lamely funny in class. I laugh, however no-one else laughs. After I laugh there is just pure silence. I laugh louder.

People don't know that I don't get angry at people, regardless of what they do. Some people have tested it, but I have never really gone mad at anything. What most people do see me, is a very loud and open person. I express my feelings for something with people and I communicate with them quite well.

YAY!!

Hello everyone!

Well i realised that the email method does work without a proxy in China, which is awesome. Anyway, talking about my last day in Sydney. Me, Dad and Jennifer took a Family Funday ticket on Sunday for just $2.50! I never knew this type of ticket existed :O Anyway, we took a train to Macquarie University and ate there and had fun. Then we took a train to Town Hall, and took a monorail around the city. It was actually pretty bad because it was really crowded and the air-conditioning didn't work. Anyway we took a train then to Circular Quay and took a ferry to Olympic Park and ended there...

Then I had dinner with Mr Mu, which was actually quite interesting.

The next day I would leave home at 8pm. We were quite late to the airport, and to make it worse, our luggage was too heavy and we had to resort our bags. We were actually quite close to missing the airport, with maybe another 100 passengers. The 9 hour flight to Shanghai felt a lot shorter than the one to Sydney, which was a good thing. Then we arrived in Shanghai, and then accidentally left a piece of luggage on the baggage claim, and had to do all this stuff to get it back. Then we took the late night flight to Beijing, which was really boring, because there was nothing to do. And then we arrived there and apparently I was about to suffocate breathing in the Beijing air. And yes, it was absolutely freezing coming out into -15 degree cold. And then we arrived home at around 1:30am the following day.

It was a long day at school on the same day...

Anyway, the Sydney trip was well worth it and it just felt great to get out of China for the first time in a few years.

Now with the tennis...
So last week was a real interesting week for women's tennis with Justine Henin coming back to the WTA Tour after a hiatus of 2 years. The Brisbane International final was held between Kim Clijsters and countrywoman Justine Henin. It was a really great final with the ending score as 6-3 4-6 7-6(6) with Clijsters winning the match and saving 2 match points at 4-5 in the 3rd set. However Henin was due to play in Sydney however because of injury, she will withdraw to save energy for the Australian Open next week.

Roger Federer had another early exit in Doha after being defeated by Russian Nikolay Davydenko, who then later beat Rafael Nadal in the Final. All of them are due to play in the Australian open next week.

Another day

Well... today's been a cool day :D. Started off with checking out that violin I saw yesterday and sending it to my violin teacher if it was actually worth the price. It wasn't, and I wasn't surprised. So in the afternoon, I headed to Chris' house to watch anime, play wii and watch the Simpsons Movie. It's been a while since I've seen him.

Anyway, tomorrow is a free day once again, probably heading around town on trains and ferry using a daytripper to just hang around Sydney.

So once again, school starts in just 2 days, that is if you don't count today.

Chillax

Well... today's been a short day. in just 3 days... I go back to Beijing :(

Anyway, looking looking on the bright side of life,
Yesterday afternoon playing Ashley in tennis, I almost beat him, however he still beat me 7-6(1)
I served well and my backhand was working pretty well. I have also gotten used to the grass courts, but won't be useful anyway because Beijing has no grass courts.

This morning I just chilled at home til afternoon, then headed to the violin shop in Epping to try out the 110 year old violin. It was pretty good, with a value now of 10,000 bucks. Then in the afternoon, I headed to Rhodes Shopping Centre, and didn't do anything but sit on a chair and just play iPod games.

Tomorrow I will be heading to Chris' house in Carlingford, whom I haven't seen in a long time.

Anyway, hope I have fun in my last days here :P
